Say hello to the birth prep class that actually influences how your baby navigates your body for an easier birth.

OMP is like no other!

Optimal Maternal Positioning (OMP) is changing the way parents experience birth, because it goes further than the theory and ONLY looking at dilation, and instead, focuses on how we can use our bodies to create space and balance in the pelvis for our baby’s to navigate through with ease.

If you’re ready to go beyond the fluffy breathwork and actually influence your birth with practical tools and techniques, you’re in the right place.

In our in-person workshops on the Central Coast, led by certified birth doula and OMP educator Alice Worthy, you’ll learn:

  • That dilation alone does not facilitate labour progress, and that it is the way your baby moves into, through and out your pelvis that does.

  • The physiology and anatomy of your pelvis and how the ligaments, muscles and fascia work in labour

  • How to create space in your pelvis for a faster and easier birth

  • How to understand different contraction patterns in order to uncover potential road blocks in birth progress

  • How to navigate said roadblocks with evidence based tools and techniques

  • How to avoid epidurals OR how to work with them in a way that still facilitates labour progress

  • Counter pressure, massage techniques and active birth positions that actually provide comfort while progressing labour

  • How to manage funky presentations like posterior and breech babies

“Alice, you’re a wizard. Those OMP techniques completely changed the game.”

What could have been a labour that lasted for days (and ended in loads of intervention and a very different outcome) was saved by these unbelievable techniques. Forever grateful for you and your knoweldge. I’ve had two positive, powerful & dreamy births because of you.

Meet your OMP educator

As a modern birth and postpartum doula, Alice incorporates the ancient wisdom and techniques of birth support to modern parents in a way that’s easy to understand with a fun, no-fluff approach.

You won’t find her charging crystals under the full moon, burning sage sticks or dehydrating placentas (not that there’s anything wrong with that, it’s just not her style!), which is why Alice is SO passionate about Optimal Maternal Positioning. Because it’s modern, grounded and practical.

Alice has been a fully booked birth and postpartum doula for over 3 years, and has supported women and their partners through all different types of birth experiences, from elective caesareans to planned home births and everything in between.

Alice understands how important body work, pelvic alignment and an understanding of physiology is to support better birth experiences, and is excited to share it all with you!
